Grace, 5-year- old Jenny:   I've come to a hard decision regarding Grace.  I've decided to find her a wonderful home.

Grace's Pros . . . Wonderful personality, she was raised w/ horses/mules and doesn't have that "enduring" donkey stubbornness that some have. She's super easy and willing to work with. Grace was started trail riding in 2007 as a 4 y.o.  Did a few 10 mile rides and one hard 20 mile ride, which was a bit too much for her (didn't plan on it, it just happened as we got side tracked). Grace rides bareback as well. She doesn't ride out alone. You can lead her away from home and get on her and ride her home, but she won't go out on her own. Not spooky at all. Excellent brood jennet (although she did break Jake's tail, but that was a newbie mistake, haha). She is 59" and a daughter of Diamond Creek Major.

Grace's Cons . . . Only one - and when she was a long yearling, she was messing around in a muddy paddock with a playmate and twisted her left hock and has a small amount of swelling on it. No lameness. But with the kind of riding I want to start doing (overnights at some of the farther away and more challenging trails) I honestly don't know if she'd hold up to that.

So, that coupled with Hawkeye still thinking he's a jack sometimes and showing interest and Hawkeye being my dream donkey even with his issues, I'd be willing to sell her for $800 to a good home or trade her for a NICE weanling jack foal that will mature at least 58" with good bone to grow up with and then train out with Jake, Grace's 5/08 foal.

I will not put Grace with a dealer. A good breeding farm, yes, or a light riding place, yes. She's a very special girl and I love her to death. Plus I recently got my appaloosa mare back (long story) and I need to keep riding her at her age and will anticipate problems starting with her as she ages.

As far as delivery, I can meet part way for gas money or if you'd want to trade a jack foal, I'd meet on my own expense.  Grace is located in Loyal, WI   Contact Jenny Neuendorf at 715-897-3104 or e-mail dbarjacres@ceas.coop  Website: www.dbarjacres.com  Click thumbnail photo for larger picture.  [8-16-08]

Jack + 2 Jennies:  One jack and 2 jennies for sale. The jack is a mammoth and the two jennies are large standards.
