Location

 Kettle Moraine State Forest - Southern Unit - Palmyra, WI
      The Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest is located 61 miles east of Madison, and 37 miles southwest of Milwaukee. The forest is 30 miles in length, extending from the village of Dousman to near the city of Whitewater.

 

 

Trails

Horseriders Campground is located west of Eagle. Travel Hwy 59 into the town of Palmyra. Turn south on 3rd Street to the campground entrance.

   54 miles of equestrian trails offer loops of varying lengths over a cross section of the Kettle Moraine. Riders will enjoy large hardwood forests, pine plantations and many vistas overlooking wet kettles, oak savanna prairies, and area lakes. Horses are limited to trails marked with orange diamonds. A state trail pass is required for riders 16 and older. ATV's are not allowed on trails in the Kettle Moraine State Forest - Southern Unit at any time.
